non compliant health plans

1 minute read

The Department of Health and Human Services has extended the transition policy for certain health plans that don’t comply with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) for an additional year (policy years beginning on or before October 1, 2022). Plans that are renewed under the extended transition policy must comply with the specified requirements by January 1, 2023.

If the states allow it, insurers can renew noncompliant coverage through 2022. Download the bulletin for more details.
