Executive Order Enforces LGBTQ Discrimination Protections

LQTBQ discrimination

1 minute read

President Joe Biden recently signed an executive order which requires all federal agencies to ensure rules and regulations prohibit workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. This move expands protections for bisexual, gay, lesbian, queer, and transgender individuals. The move also signals a clear intention on the part of the Biden administration to guarantee protection for the LGBTQ community not only in the workplace but with regard to welfare, education, housing, immigration, military service, health care, and beyond.

Employers should become familiar with these clarified rules and make sure their workplace policies comply. Download the bulletin for more details.
