1 minute read

The Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and the Treasury Departments recently published an interim final rule regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. The interim final rule states:

  • Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurers should cover the vaccine without cost sharing
  • Coverage of qualifying COVID-19 preventative services (which include the vaccine)
    • must be provided within 15 days after the recommendation is made
    • must be covered without cost sharing, regardless if the services were delivered by an in-network or out-of-network provider

Employers should note that this is an “interim final rule,” and stay tuned to our blog and we’ll update you if any changes occur. Download the bulletin for more details.
