In the past year, 34% of U.S. consumers reported mental health deterioration and 24% reported a decline in physical health. According to a global survey report from Swiss Re, these shifts have resulted in an increased use of digital health care.
People under 40 are the most active group in searching for new or additional life or health insurance coverage. Fifteen percent of respondents acquired new coverage during the pandemic.
Health and wellness apps are also increasing in popularity. This includes apps for healthy eating, weight loss, and improved physical health. The convenience and quick processing potential of these digital platforms is expected to rise in the coming decade.
