As open enrollment approaches for 2023 benefits, there’s still time to address employees’ questions and inform them of their options. Doing so will help them to get the most out of their benefits, which is especially important as employees navigate record-high inflation and work hard to maximize their hard-earned dollars.

Here are some last-minute strategies for maximizing open enrollment for your employees.

Last-minute Strategies

Have a Point Person

Employees will almost certainly have questions about their open enrollment. Employers should assign a designated person to answer any questions. Provide that person’s contact information in all employee enrollment communications.

Keep Communication Coming

Open enrollment is one of the most important times of the year for employees to review their current life situation, benefits offered, and make the right choices. When communicating benefit details, make sure to discuss:

  • Different plan options available
  • Importance of considering lifestyle changes and the potential need for additional coverage
  • Any voluntary benefits that may help amid economic uncertainty

Use Varied Communication Styles

People absorb information differently, so make sure to provide benefit information in a variety of ways including email, text, webinar, videos, etc.
