Employees will almost certainly have questions about their open enrollment. Employers should assign a designated person to answer any questions. Provide that person’s contact information in all employee enrollment communications.

Open enrollment is one of the most important times of the year for employees to review their current life situation, benefits offered, and make the right choices. When communicating benefit details, make sure to discuss:

- Different plan options available
- Importance of considering lifestyle changes and the potential need for additional coverage
- Any voluntary benefits that may help amid economic uncertainty

People absorb information differently, so make sure to provide benefit information in a variety of ways including email, text, webinar, videos, etc.
