Employers who are subject to equal opportunity report (EEO) will not be required to file EEO surveys in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The following surveys which had expected to open in 2020, have been delayed:

The surveys collect data about job categories, gender, race, and ethnicity. The EEOC uses this info to enforce Title VII and other fair employment laws. Pushing back the dates will ensure that filers are better positioned to provide reliable, accurate, and valid data in a timely manner. The EEOC will contact filers directly about the delayed survey openings. In addition, they will reach out when the precise date the surveys will open has been made available.
