President Trump recently signed a short-term spending resolution to end the government shutdown on January 22, 2018. One key Affordable Care Act tax that was affected by this resolution was the Cadillac Tax.
The Cadillac Tax is a 40% excise tax for high cost employer-sponsored health coverage that exceeds the annual limitation (including contributions to Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, and Health Savings Accounts). Per the resolution, the implementation of the Cadillac Tax has been further delayed until 2022.
