President Announces COVID-19 Winter Plan

1 minute read

During a press conference, President Biden outlined his plan to combat COVID-19 this winter. COVID-19 is expected to spike, as more people gather indoors. Biden’s plan includes:

  • Providing booster shots to all eligible Americans
  • Drafting a rule requiring private insurers to reimburse the cost of at-home COVID-19 tests
  • Vaccinating the 43 million Americans who have not been vaccinated
  • Requiring international travelers to test negative for COVID-19 within a day of traveling

The plan also includes setting up more vaccination clinics, launching a media campaign to encourage vaccinations and boosters, and coordinating shuttles to drive older Americans to vaccine sites.
