31 Acts of Wellness for the Winter Season

31 Acts of Wellness to Keep the Holidays Bright

Both the workplace and the way we celebrate the holidays are different this year due to the pandemic. Many of us are having a difficult time because our celebration rituals have needed to be modified, and we may not be gathering in person with our family, friends, and co-workers. We are also entering the winter season, where we tend to fall out of our regular routines and give in to holiday temptations. Indulging in too many tasty treats, skipping our fitness activities, and stressing out what we need to get done are a few of the ways many of us commonly derail our health at this time of year.

No one is suggesting that we shouldn’t enjoy the things that make the season special. But we do recommend you find simple, small ways to balance some of the excesses so you don’t begin 2021 discouraged that you’re off track on your health and fitness goals. The 31 Acts of Wellness are small activities you can incorporate into your daily routine to help keep your mind focused and your body in good health and spirits. Some of the 31 Acts can also help with that sense of disconnection and provide new ways to safely participate in wellness activities despite COVID-19.

You can download the 31 Acts of Wellness PDF flyer to use and share with your colleagues, friends, and family members. We suggest you try to complete one or more wellness activities each day. There are four different wellness categories to choose from: Fitness, Nutrition, Well-being, and Community. Try completing them all by checking off each one as you perform each act!

During this unique holiday time, it’s important to remember that “we’re all in this together.” In this season of caring and sharing with each other, we still have to take good care of ourselves first. We hope the 31 Acts of Wellness help you to do just that.
