The Department of Health and Human Services released its final Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters for 2023. This describes the benefit and payment parameters under the Affordable Care Act that apply for the 2023 benefit year.
Final 2023 standards include:
- The maximum annual limit on cost sharing is $9,100 for self-only coverage and $18,200 for other-than-self-only coverage.
- Insurers in the federally facilitated and state-based Exchanges must offer certain standardized plan options.
- The contribution percentage for the individual mandate’s affordability exemption is 8.17%.
